PDFs? Sounds like a minority use case for most people. If its pdfs for work or study, typically a tablet or laptop is better anyway, especially if you have to highlight. So again, your point is...

You can't change the font size of may PDF files. The format will be scrambled.

Small font size is WAY WORSE than backlit. (Unless it's PWM like OLED)

Just change the font size. A backlit tablet is worse for your eyes. And most books aren't much bigger

Indeed, I got a skin on mine, helps with the coldness, wish I can find a texture skin but couldn't find any, also I got a phone ring holder, that helps a lot.

Got mine. it is so cold holding it on hand in the winter due to the metal shell. The the paperwhite doesn't have this issue
