Read my post above yours. I bought the M557-G1 and took it back. Never mind the contrast ratio. Everything else was less than "OK" for picture quality.

For the $400 price point, - - - The Hisense 55H8F and TCL 5 and 6 series is a better TV all around. I purchased the Vizio M557-G1 and the picture quality was grainy, not the best color accuracy...
