They are only *cheaper* because they are priced per terabyte, it isn't like they are shoddier drives (quite the contrary, you may find higher quality drives in other models compared to these 5400 RPM...

I prefer the My Books because... - less tippy rectangular design with no rounded corners - hardware encryption on the drive - backup software (but I'll choose another) - drive utilities included...
