You can use BT or the usb dongle with this one (you'd lose a port if going that route). The usb cable that comes with it is used for recharging the battery. Mine just arrived a couple hours ago...

I don't think so, as it's not Bluetooth. But, ten bucks is dirt cheap for a quality wireless mouse if you don't need Bluetooth.
