RCA input could be used for say a VCR or older gaming system audio, etc. If it's an input it won't help with your subwoofer as you need an output.

I noticed on the back of my TV it had a dual RCA labeled audio input. What would that be for? You think it would work for hooking up just my sub with single RCA?

No new sound bars work with any external sub. Either buy a new soundbar with a sub or buy a receiver and separate speakers for your fronts.

So I have a close to 10 year old sound bar and subwoofer. It's a Vizio soundbar and a separate brand external 12" subwoofer. I don't like the cheapo subs that come with soundbar kits...not nearly...
