These are terrible. If you are thinking about 4K recording or high burst rate forgot these. If you are just taking random pictures they'll be perfect for you.

They will ask for a proof of purchase. In my case I've bought them online so a screenshot of the purchase confirmation email worked for them.

SanDisk seems to have the best and easiest warranty process. Many of their cards have 10year or lifetime warranties.

Not sure how or if this helps, but I've had a Lexar SDXC Class 10 Pro 1000X 128GB. It failed to be recognized after 3 years of casual use. Lexar's support was happy to pay me back in full purchasing...
