Our squirrel defense is a very fast 35 lb canine mix who loves the chase! The squirrels still come by every now and again, but they aren't as keen as they used to be after a few close calls.

Had this model. No issues with seeds falling out or getting wet in rain, but I found the top opening for filling to be way too small.

Did you read the part about keeping it far from a tree? A conical baffle that is loose mounted (it wobbles when they touch it) works on all my feeders.
