It is paying more if your programs are going to use less than half of the purchased 32 GB of RAM. Like putting an 8 cylinder engine in a golf cart just to drive back and forth to the range at 25 MPH.

Also, 3200 is not "too slow" for latest Ryzen, it should work just fine. Yes there are benefits for using faster memory but it is inaccurate to say it is too...

3200 is kinda the sweet spot for Ryzen 3xxx for price:perf. You can get increasing perf up to 3600 since Infinity Fabric still runs 1:1 but cost goes up.

If that is the case then this is just the regular price for generic RAM and should not be posted as a deal. It's also too slow for latest gen Ryzen.

The secondary timings are usually a better indicator. If it's 14-14-14 then sure. If you go up to 3600 where I've been looking then you want 16-16-16 no 16-18-18. Not sure if you meant all CL14...

I've been using this same memory for 6 months and it's been fine (paid $80) just had to overclock it to 3200 in bios after installing. Would have preferred black to match my build but it's not a deal...

It is not. If you are on Ryzen 3000, B-Die isn't as important as it was for 1000 and 2000 for overclocking. Now you only need it for extreme overclocking.
