Yes out of the loop -- you can ask me all you want about Sony mirrorless but I haven't a clue about Canon's No way you should add the a5100. minimum is a6000 and even that's a bit old (2014 era)

A5100 is a newer model with better video. No viewfinder so if beach shooting the A6000 would be better but for most things the A5100 LCD is fine. A6000 has higher FPS but it's largely useless...
