The sani water usually lasts 2 hours. They have strips to test the sani water if it's still serviceable. The chances of most restaurants doing this is slim however considering the labor crunch so...
Yep, not really a “deal,” especially since there’s no housekeeping or breakfast for the whole stay. Pretty disappointing. I can do much better using my hotel loyalty program and coupons.
Most people don't disinfect properly. Like I always see people just spray and wipe a surface with no dwell time, or just wipe down once with a Lysol/Clorox wipe. Most products require a 4-10 minute...
For what it's worth, my brother who is a first responder in Los Angeles stayed at the Marriott for the last month and they only charged him $18 bucks for the whole stay.
I would hope they have proper PPE and disinfectants. This is really nice of them to do this for the health care workers and first responders though. Many of them are already staying in hotels away...
Agree. Looked in Boston for my wife that's isolating due to her work in the ICU and it's not exactly the bargain of the century. Looking at $3,000/month.
any chain still offer significant discount to healthcare workers? (who did not register) did it work for anyone post registration date?
Good initiative given that there is no occupancy better put them in use to a good cause.
Umm no that’s because they don’t want to be entering the room everyday and risk infection. If you need something like more towels, toilet paper, etc. ask and they will leave it at your door. ...
did you check out the other freebies i linked in the op. red roof inn might be an option.
Don't count on housekeeping doing a thorough job of cleaning.
It’s much more Jewish, I believe.... Seriously, though, this would cost hotels lots of money and they’re not making much if any right now, and those sterilization units are almost certainly...
You cannot call in you cannot walk in it's a process you have to go through and wait for an email confirmation number. one of them did call and was told due to high volume of requests blah blah blah
I wonder if they still have housekeeping cleaning the rooms... One would think so, but are the hotel employees wearing PPE?
Well, they are in a tough place. It's a business that also needs to keep staff safe, isolate rooms, etc. Glad all these hotels are doing something big or small for our medical professionals.
So it looks like the free rooms for first responders will go through their respective trade organizations/associations and ONLY for those cities listed above. However, for the deeply discounted...
The Hertz deal sounds good but very few people have been able to sign up successfully. Both of my sisters are RN in NYC and both signed up but none have gotten anything. Hertz said they will get a...
Why wouldn't they be looking into H2O2 vapor sanitizing for rooms? I believe it's "gentile" on fabrics (unlike ozonation which attacks rubber). It's the same method hospitals use to sanitize...
I know some people running some small hotels and motels. They can’t get their hands on enough PPE like face masks or gloves because most places are sold out. It’s been a challenge for them to keep...
my comment is not a reflection on OP's deal or HERTZ it's simply reflecting what the experience has been that I have first-hand knowledge of
no argument: TY for sharing. But I'm skeptical that "nothing can be done". Lots need to be relieved, Hertz is carrying expense of daily parking
You know what this reminds me of? When Kate Winslet’s character got infected in the movie Contagion. If I were staying at a hotel, I’d first make sure all house keeping personnel were following...
screaming deal! it's $5-10/day cheaper than regular price.
For reference since I work at hotels. I was told housekeeping is cleaning rooms only after a guest checks out. Also at least at my hotels they are leaving room as is until at least a week later....
Maybe $10 cheaper than regular price in Florida and only properties with kitchenettes it seems. What I need is a small suv rental in Orlando for a month or two. That would get me into a hospital.
come'on. If your RNs really need it - they can call-in right now! Pretty please come back here with complete report, rather than just telling people off
looks like this deal is still in effect until December 31 2020. Does anyone know if Marriott actually verifies first-responders IDs at check-in?
