According to Westinghouse if the remote breaks they will replace it for free.

I called Westinghouse & was told that if the remote breaks they WOULD replace it so there is no issue

I spoke to Westinghouse . They clearly told me that in the unlikely event that the remote doesn't work even after the warranty they will send a replacement

If you arent in a hurry I would wait, the 42" is too small (larger fan always better IMO) and the 52" is over priced. Im pretty happy with my 52" harbor breeze (remote box went bad - replaced years...

Ugh. The 42 inch fan uses the smaller style bulbs. All my other bulbs are the standard size.

If the remote breaks, can't you just replace it with a universal remote and receiver? The kind with dip switches? That's a 30 minute install, if that.

It does apply on the cart but removes the bulk of the sale discount. I ended up not using it.

FYI the remote cannot be replaced on the Delancy. If it breaks you are boned for life. The company won’t sell you a replacement.
