I would recommend get the Macbook Pro 13" 2020 with the 16Gig upgrade from Edu store. which comes downs to ~1400 including tax. I would put RAM > Storage as you can always have external storage...

I like that they returned the old keyboard but they should haves removed the god damn touchbar. That shit is pointless. Probably wastes much more battery and more prone to fail than some real keys.
