You could put the comforter inside a duvet - that's what I'm thinking of doing because I can't have white things with 5 pets myself, but this price is too good to resist.

I bought one many months ago for ~$20 and returned it. Even after more than a week hanging on a shower rod and moving it around, putting it in the dryer on low heat, etc. the batting never puffed up...
