Appreciate this old post. After two minutes outside with a heavy metal rake, I know this will be $120 well spent when it arrives in a few days. The job can wait.

We have wild roses that keep coming back, and the roots are really hard. Will this be able to handle it? Or do I need to rent a heavy duty gas tiller

I would imagine that it's a lot lighter and easy to handle than a gas one as well. Plus no choke.

Not a huge difference. Also, keep in mind that with 13.5 Amps you'll need AT LEAST a 14 gauge extension cord. For distances greater than 50 feet will need 12 gauge, which is expensive. If you've...

You either dig it with a lot of dirt coming with it what I have done sometimes easier is shopvac it up. Sounds crazy maybe but works. I hate the rocks too as eventually dirt gets in and weeds grow.

I'd stick with gas or a battery powered tiller. 1 chopped electrical cord and I am done with mine. Its too cumbersome to manage.
