It's a no-no unless he's looking to strip everything off for a fresh application, otherwise... everyone uses dawn dish soap to remove contaminants, oils, waxes, and sealants. I do dawn dish soap...

I use Dawn dishwashing liquid, diluted about 20:1 with water. Never a problem with my Ryobi power washer.
