I am now using a Tripp Lite 1500VA 900W SMART1500LCDT. So far, no issues, but that doesn't mean I won't have a similar experience to CyberPower down the road. I suppose only time will tell.

You should be fine, most consumer gear is designed to work even with pretty garbage power. Enterprise gear is where pure sign wave becomes a must because it just won't run on simulated.
