I have the same problem with the camera. I contacted Microsoft and they removed McaFee. Thought it helped but didn’t. He said third party apps can effect the camera. Seemed to work, but nope.

I think this is for future proofing. Ryzen will last you a year more because it’s a year ahead. Nonetheless I have an i7-6700 and do very heavy use with no problem so I’d say both can last a while!
