4" vs 5 1/4" woofers. Either will work as they both have the same horn tweeter as the towers. I wouldn't say the 450c is the "accurate timbre matching" vs the 440c simply because of 1 1/4" difference...

please cite your source for the "more than 80% value". that seems high. every movie / soundtrack is recorded differently, but typical speaker manufacturer values are lower (60 - 70% is more common)....

You can't put them right up against the wall, they're ported and they would sound horrible if you put the port up against a wall. I removed the wooden base from mine and mounted them using these

280s are full range floor standing speakers that pair nicely with 450C center. that would be the accurate timbre matching. dont understand why Adorama bundle them with 440C.
