That's not true. I own this, There is one indicator and it's a green light below the batteries. When you put in discharged batteries it is green. Once it is done charging the green light turns off.

Fyi I looked for the USB charge rate it is only 5v 1a. Aka like 5+ yrs ago speed. It appears batteries don't charge while something is plugged into USB.
