No, you can still use locally, just can't update online connections. You can download transactions directly from the financial institution and import though.

Having transactions automatically accepted is merely an option. Nothing to stop you from automatically downloading everything and then manually accepting them and assigning categories, etc. as you go.

Quicken isn't owned by Intuit anymore. Intuit sold Quicken several years ago before it went to online subscription. I'm not sure how Quickbooks is working but it's still owned by Intuit.

No, the latest version has disabled the ability to do manual download and import. You're pretty much in read-only mode once your subscription expires.
