Pacifica's are great, but they do not hold their value. If you ever get bored with the Fenders, or don't play them and have to sell, you'll always get a good chunk of your money back when reselling.

Hard pass. Just bought a 1995 American Strat locally for $600. I would bite on a new mim tele for 500 but 540 is a tad too high. Gone are the days where Adorama had mims for $360.
