It depends on what software you’re running. Plex requires more powerful hardware vs infuse. My nas couldn’t play some 4K content but infuse can.

I own one. If you aren't transcoding, all you're doing is reading the file from the NAS, and it can read and write large files (disks permitting) at 120MB/s, so it can easily keep up with 4k content.
