FYI, the Dewalt 20V 4 1/2 inch saw is one sale in HD for $99 which cuts 2x4 and is a better deal to me....

As someone who owns a lot of Makita tools, I think you’re wrong. They don’t clearance out 12V to introduce an 18V version. They’re different lines for different audiences. I want a mini circular saw....

I also have this saw. It is a good little saw when a full size saw is to much saw. Surprisingly, it has decent power.

Just bought this saw for $129.99 + tax on the 29th of September. Called and tried to get a price match for the $30 difference, said it was out of stock and could not do it. Think I'll take it back...

I have this saw. Great for small and thin applications. It's lite weight and easy to handle. Keep in mind the 12v battery cannot be charged with your 18v kits so you will need this separate...

If you’re only going to cut plywood this saw will work but I’d definitely suggest getting the 18V version of products if you’re buying for the long haul or expect to buy more makita.
