As someone who owns a lot of Makita tools, I think you’re wrong. They don’t clearance out 12V to introduce an 18V version. They’re different lines for different audiences. I want a mini circular saw....

If you’re only going to cut plywood this saw will work but I’d definitely suggest getting the 18V version of products if you’re buying for the long haul or expect to buy more makita.
