It depends on whether your headset is oculus or not. If buying on origin it’s just slightly inconvenient since you have to manually tell Steam it exists. I like selecting Vr games from Steam VR

Still rockin the Logitech Thrustmaster Extreme 3D pro. Tons of buttons, throttle, yaw, pitch, and roll. A quick look on Amazon and they're now $70 +. Glad I kept mine from Descent days.

I have both hotas and controller. They did a great job with the controller. For immersion nothing beats hotas but imo you'll still enjoy the game with controller.

Tried the "free-to-play" demo on Origins. It gets boring and repetitive almost immediately. Not worth it at this $29.99 price. I probably wouldn't even get it if it dropped down to $20.
