The i5 version is a pretty good deal. Thinking of buying it, then taking that 1660 Ti for myself, and give the recipient my 1050 Ti (minus the GPU cost). They are still on a 1st gen i5. Hmmmm

I am not an expert on Video/Photo editing, but from all the CPU reviews I have watched over the years you want the most powerful CPU your budget will allow for. Which is why a lot of recommendations...

In essence you're probably not going to do enough to notice the difference (6/6 and 8/8 with a 3k passmark difference). So save the money imo

But you get the best performance boost from RGB LEDs. You can squeeze 10-15% more IPC out of your CPU if the light from the LED hit's it just right.

This is a good deal for a prebuilt, IMO. Well rounded and quick for general use. Will run games at 1080 easily and have the grunt to do everything else well. It's worth noting that with i5...

How much of an upgrade would this be compared to a I5 7600, 1080 TI and 16GB of Raw, 500 GB SSD? I was considering getting this computer as a gift for my younger brother but not sure how much of an...

If it's the 7600K it would be quite a bit of improvement. The 7600K is 4/4 @3.8ghz, 4.2ghz turbo, while the 9400F is 6/6 @2.9ghz, 4.1ghz turbo. The GPU will be a serious drop, as the 1080ti was only...

I was thinking of it from a gaming perspective. i5 version has 6 cores, i7 has 8. Neither has Hyper Threading. Going from 6 to 8, for gaming, usually does not translate to big performance gains....
