I guess by default I kept knives (whether they looked like "toys" or not) well put up and away from my kids when they were young enough to randomly play with things as toys but that's just me.

These are horrible knives. The colored paint chips come off and mix with your food. If you don't like eating paint chips, DO NOT buy! Quality knives are always worth the investment.
