The problem with the Tekton ones are that the handles are terrible and they also lack color coding. It makes absolutely no sense to not have color coding IMO.

I'm as big of an HF fan as anybody, but all things made in China are not equal. HF stuff is still lesser than Craftsman stuff except when it comes to some of the toolboxes and tool carts. Are the...

Was able to pick up two (one each) in the S. Tryon store in Charlotte, NC. They were all the way in Appliances department and I had to ask around where they were as they weren't in or around the...

I would generically say the benefit of using dedicated nut drivers is for special applications as you can see from the comments. Fasteners that vary through out a device are annoying because you...

I don't know about the whole set, but I keep a 7mm nut driver in my F150 to replace the cab air filter (one driver is easier to keep alone than a ratchet and socket). I also used it to replace a...

Awesome - just picked mine up today. I got a set of SAE and Metric. They were sitting front and center in the tool section area, in the shelving area for Craftsman Mechanic tool sets. They were on...

that type of small magnetizer would probably only work for tiny items and mini screwdrivers. i doubt it would be powerful enough to magnetize full size nut drivers

Just buy them. You won't find better cheaper, and they will do you fine for the rest of your life unless you're a pro (and want to pay $60+ a set for Wiha, Snappy, etc....

Sorry for the rookie question. But Is there another way to magnetize the drivers with something that's more accessible in common households? I would like this set but only if I can magnetize them....

Stand the nut drivers upright on the speaker magnet in the base of the pinball cabinet. In a day or so, they will be fully magnetized. Old coin-op trick.

Im into restoring pinball, and a good set is worth its weight in gold to me. This set isnt magnetic though, which IMO is a must, unless you like digging screws and nuts out of mechanisms.

Doesn't really matter that they're both from China, the Pittsburgh ones are still pretty shitty compared to the Craftsmans. For a step up at HF, look to their Quinns or Icons - though for those...
