The sound is as subjective as the -feel-. The only hard differentiation for the simulated piano action types is the pivot length. As measured from the end of the key towards the player to the...

How does the action of the Korg compare to an inferior sounding product like the Donner 200? I can just run anything through my Reason 11 software and Piano VSTs and get a better sound than either...

Part of me has a hard time believing that with as many digital piano manufacturers there are in this price range, that it's not at all a competitive market. Perhaps manufacturing high quality key...

Still ridiculously overpriced, with Donner and Casio offering quality weighted hammer pianos for less than $400.

Korg is not anywhere near the size of Yamaha. Yamaha is Yakuza+++ They've got a hand in everything. Korg actually makes alot of their stuff in Japan, while Yamaha is able to pull labor from the...

I think this probably applies even more to the higher-end pianos from higher-end brands. Apparently Yamaha has 7 different key actions. That kind of screams artificial segmentation. With Korg, who...

The new williams symphony grand 2 is a rebadged generic brand, ~$2300, fatar (respectable italian action), 8 speakers, AND unlooped samples 16 seconds long, 2GB sound rom. Grand cabinet What do...

Yeah, I mean seriously, I've been shopping around for a few months. For $1500, you should be able to get a DP with decent piano sound and decent plastic action, 40W speakers, 50-100 other mediocre...

Yup... they do it to upsell on fluff. most of the advertised features are useless. and almost every piano has them. They're basically sitting on their hands barely improving between new models.

The Fp30 is modeled , they call it the supernatural modeling engine. The piano itself has midi files installed for playback purposes, there's a pc hack that you can run to unlock some of the...

I believe the FP30 still uses a sampling engine (resonance and effects are modeled), it's only their top-end FP-90 that uses all modeling. Either way, the piano on the FP30 still sounds very nice.

If you're in the zone for CA59, You might as well buy a CA99. ES520 will sound much better than williams allegro, but the action isn't better at all. The CA59 has Grand feel compact, this...
