Not saying this is the case, but I’ve probably gotten 40+ games from Amazon and have never received a fake. Few have been damaged, but they mail out a replacement.

Even better is to not buy board games through Amazon, period, tons of problems with fakes. Support vetted vendors like miniature market, gamenerdz, local stores, etc.

I think that's a good rule of thumb in general, but there are exceptions, with board games being one of them.
