Yes, there are two Gigabit Ethernet ports with link aggregation support. So if you have gig internet, you should be able to get gig speeds.

At 100mbps, you probably wouldn't see any performance upgrades, but it really depends on how you use your system. DOCSIS Channels CM600 24 down x 8 up CM1100 32 down x 8 up

I have separate modem and router because the combos seem to go out faster and like prior post states easier to update. This modem has worked great for me

With this you will need to buy a separate wifi router. They sell others that have a combo modem and router. It is personal preference. I like having them separate personally so I can upgrade this...

Does this work with Comcast/xfinity? NM, just figured out it does... duh... no internal Wi-Fi kills it for me though.
