Same here. Other than "Bang", I also noticed that there is a loud continuously beeping noise when compressor is running. When compressor is off and fan is running, there is no such beeping sounds....

interesting, wish I had that GE model since mine had its humidistat die so quickly, I think the permanent running fan was part of my problem

The GE unit I have only runs the fan as needed too. Maybe 20 minutes of fan time per hour and 15 minutes of compressor time (overlapping the fan time) per hour.

On low its about as loud as the GE on medium that I replaced. Actually like that it shuts off. The GE purposely ran the fan the whole time never shutting off and it was the compressor that cycled...

Same... Under low it was 65dB and under high it was like 70dB.... Still so loud. Contacted Hisense and they said to return to store. There was also a random screw and piece of plastic from the unit...

I agree. Have this exact model. Lasted maybe 9 month and the dump pump went bad. I installed a new one. It lasted 2 months and went bad. Now I’m stuck with a dehumidifier I have to empty by hand...
