i think you may have installed the base backwards onto the bottom of the seat if its doing that... thats what it should do when it tilts backwards. just a heads up. easy fix

I bought this chair last month at this price. There wasn't much cushion so it wasn't comfortable and the arms were hard plastic. I sent it back.

I'd be suspicious of the 100$ price point, that often means really cheap seat foam that pancakes quickly. The gaming chairs with decent foam prolly run at least 200 if I had to guess.
