Go search bitog Purolator torn and look at the results. Its not exclusively the red can...Motorcraft too. They also have issue of the anti drain back getting sliced. The issues has not gone away....

Purolator one and purolator boss are actually very good, it's just their economy line that used to have some kind of tearing history.

If you've ever been on that site you'll know that any Fram is well regarded on that site. The tearing fillters are Purolator and Motorcraft. I'd avoid those.

Any Fram is fine, all fear mongering on youtube. Much better that anything they put on your car at jiffy lube. Also even the basic fram is better filtering efficiency than any OEM filter. The XG line...

I agree that in general I would avoid Fram. I do think tests made on their premium filters have had good results. However, I'm not sure why this would be posted on SD at this price. Maybe at $6.50...
