You can access the Service Mode menu on this by pressing Input on the remote and then 2 5 8 0 (straight line down the middle). That will give you more options for tweaking the display and such.

For what it's worth, I've got 3 TVs outside under cover that have been going strong for years. Carpenter Bees set up nests in all of the screwholes, but other than that, no problems.
