I get that a Flexvolt battery works at 20v or 60v, that makes sense. But then they call tools Flexvolt even though they only work at one voltage.

The Flexvolt is the term for Battery and it is is Flexible. The Flexvolt battery can do both 20v and 60v The Flexvolt Tool isn't flexible. It only runs at 60v. It is called "Flexvolt Tool"...
