Unfortunately NYC area prices are high. Milk over $4 gal, eggs usu. $2 dozen & up depending on size. I have Aldi need me but parking is a nightmare.

Jeez. Eggs are usually 50-80 cents here in NW IL. Chicken is always 99c a lb. I love our Aldi.

Well on the flip side, there is a huge amount of food and supplies packaged for restaurant use that then had to go somewhere - so you'd see 50lb bags of salt for sale for cheap, things like that.

Since Pandemic, supermarkets have no incentive to give low prices. Prices have actually been up since most restaurants were closed. I have to hit Dollar Tree for .99 medium eggs.
