performance cars? sure.
every other car/suv/truck/van? no. perhaps paper-thin steel, but certainly not aluminum.

Have had one for about 18 months. Use it every time I work under the hood. Always keep a battery on the charger so I can hot swap it (was doing an engine swap on the Chevy).
