The only thing I found to work on crabgrass is a preemergent herbicide. Have to put it down before the seeds start to germinate in your area of the country so timing is everything. .

Agree 100%. Usually have to go over some of the weeds 2 or more times to kill them with this stuff. But if I use too much, grass won't grow well in that spot for 2 or 3 years.

True regarding it won't burn your yard as its natural but keep it to once every 3 months. Too much nitrogen can decrease fescue ability to fight disease and drought.

For driveway weeds, you need glyphosate. For selective killing of broadleaf lawn weeds, you need a product with 2,4 D and/or Dicamba. Glyphosate (Roundup) will kill grass.

I switched to using milorganite as a fertilizer and my yards never been better. I have tall fescue 10 miles south of Charlotte NC where fescue struggled without a ton of water
