When you run a single stick, I am assuming you are using the first DIMM slot. There are two other things to try: Try running a single stick in the second DIMM slot (lieaving the first one empty)....

I wouldn't sell the original stick until you know for sure that the 64GB congiration works. In fact, I'd test it with Windows first (if you haven't wiped it off the drive yet). But that's just me.

I can validate that in about 6 hours when I actually install it however I use linux, not windows so can't validate that part. Got it in mail late last night. Will report back.
