I’d say it’s in the middle. It has a memory foam top to it, so it’s soft, but the base layer under that is firm. It’s not a plush by any means, but it’s also not a firm.

I bought this in full for my 12 year old daughter that hated her old pillow top mattress and she loves it! Ive slept on it too and it's nice for people who prefer a firmer mattress which we do.
