Happened to my wife. Ended up trading the phone back in to Google when purchasing the new pixel. Definitely not normal battery behavior. It was garbage and happened just outside the warranty window.

Because wireless charging is inefficient, it makes your phone hotter while it's charging than it would be if you were charging via USB...heat is the enemy of batteries
