Ask for replacement if that's an option when you select "return or replace item" from order page -- otherwise buy the same item in a new order so you have 2 of them then return the defective one...

You would have received an email with a link to "claim" the credit. After that, it would show up. Also, you can go to amazon.com/primedaycreditcheck and see if it shows there.
