It's not crap but definitely expensive. Wouldn't buy hue for full price. Never.they are definitely overpriced for what they are.

If you bought it last time when Costco had it for $100 and got cancelled due to lack of inventory. They honor the sale price, just need to contact customer service

Ugh. No. Zigbee has fantastic range, and its limited bandwidth and interference with WiFi and Bluetooth are a clear advantage. Buy a new bridge, they're cheap on eBay. Mine works fine.

Yes, that’s what I do with mine. If you’re using windows, no need for adapter for light syncing but you do need to install the app.

Only major advantage I could find is that you don't need internet for the Hue bulbs to work (even though you will need a wireless access point so that they can communicate with the hub and app)
