They do sell hex shank drill bits, works perfectly fine as a drill with the correct bits.

I actually broke one I bought from ace hardware. I contacted dewalt they sent me a replacement. Remember these are for light duty work. Almost has to be a pre drilled pillet hole to drive a screw in.
