Never had their jack fail on me yet, though I've only used it a handful of times. Gotcha, so this is mainly for light use.

Exactly, no matter what brand jack you are using, to risk your life on a 25¢ o-ring without jack stands is foolish.

You don't get under a car just supported by a jack. If the jack fails, car does not lift, or it lowers slowly. So what is it you don't trust?
