I would not bother. Their unlock policy is ridiculous. You have to use the DEVICE continuously for 6 month. You cannot switch SIMs, or the timer will reset.

This is a nice enough value phone, but wifi slowness while Bluetooth is on is disappointing. Whether 2.4 or 5ghz speed sucks unless BT off. Is this normal?

Edit/update: G7 has slightly better processor, so this is a downgrade. And if you have the 4gb/64gb G7, then the G Play is definitely a downgrade. I have two G7 Supra on Cricket (same as G7 Power)...

yeah... just dont put in a sim.
all you need to do is log in with a google account and just use the phone as a mini tablet.
make sure you delete all the cricket bloatware and spyware.
