I suspect the actual 4G phones will continue to work and the notices are just going out to everything not on their whitelist since their whitelist is essentially just their list of "known" 4g phones....

Lots of telecommunication company will start to shut down 3g connections.
This means lots of old phones that are not 4g / 5g - HD...
