I have played a quite a handful of Exit the game and Unlocked! series. Can’t speak of how other escape board games translate. With that said, the Sunken Treasure is a great starter game to the...

Thanks for the advice! Do you have a recommended starter game from this series? And is it something specific about this line of escape games that you think it helps to be familiar with, or do you...

Unlocked is a good series as well that doesn't have you destroy any of the materials however, no replay value once solutions are known.

That's a shame, as I know the Escape Room in a Box series have pdfs on their site of the sheets you write on/tear/destroy so that you print them out to pass the game on- they even have pdf...

Thanks! I actually did stumble on the Orient Express one and decided to pull the trigger since it also was on sale. Definitely a cool concept and a very inexpensive date night. Good point about the...

This one is in the top third of the "Exit" games by rating on Amazon, with a solid 4.6 stars. You'll always find a few bad reviews on any Exit game by somebody that got stuck (or alternatively people...

Fully agree. Definitely do some "easier" difficulty Exit games first before the harder ones, because there are tricks and concepts that these games have that make the more difficult games extremely...

Great games. I usually get a good 2 hours out of each one of these. I will prolly stick with buying from my local game shop for $12, but if anyone is interested you should try it :) Real escape...

Dead Man on the Orient was easily the best one in the series for me and my wife. I don’t want to spoil any surprise but this one has an extra element that made it extra memorable and fun. We had...

EXIT games are great. I have 12 including this one. Whenever I need to draw, fold, or cut, I just make copies. I can now lend to friends or sell after. :-)

I am a big time board game geek and have a few hundred games. Exit is the best I have ever played for an escape room category. Would highly recommend, though I would suggest you start with a level 2...

House of Riddles was our 1st one. Really great experience! Did the Secret Lab for our 2nd... if we had flip flopped it would have been a much different experience. The difficulty and abstract format...

Was about to grab one but the reviews on Amazon seem to say this particular one is worse than the rest in the series. If you already like the series this might be worth a shot, but I'd rather not...

Nah, they are a one and done game. You can span it out over a few nights if you want to take your time but a lot of the riddles involve destroying/altering clues to advance. Most of all, you know...

No, there is zero replayability with these exit games. It is a one time play through. Usually you have to manipulate or destroy stuff so you can't even pass it on to others. Depending on...

These are throwaway games, which is really unfortunate because usually only 1 or 2 components need to be destroyed or visibly manipulated out of the whole box. That said, I bought one from a thrift...

There isn't much replayability as some items need to be manipulated in order to solve a puzzle. The time really depends on your team. I have had a group solve one in two hours and another in four.

There is zero replay. You often write on, fold, and tear objects to solve clues. Also once you know the solution not worth playing again anyhow.

Is there much replayability with these? How long does each game take to complete? Thanks in advance.
