All I can find is 2015 reviews of the GS 550/650. Apparently it's modified version of the older G series from 2012. They're likely closely tied to an original Seasonic manufacturing process while a...

EVGA GS units were 2015 models (not the recent "outsourced" versions) about the same time as the G2's. HEC has not had nearly the track record no matter how you slice it. EVGA G3 played games with...

Not an expert but It depends on overall heat of the unit. The bulk caps will get worse over time if subject to prolong heat exposure. ...

I'm a little ignorant myself. I've always heard components(mostly capacitors) in a PSU can degrade over years of heavy use. I would think that would happen regardless of how clean the power coming in...

I'm a little ignorant about power, but doesn't a decent power strip keep you from dealing with excessive amperage in your system?

I know that but I also know with heavy use components in PSU can degrade over the years. Making it possibly not as stable under load. I typically replace a heavy used PSU on a new build if it's 5...

I was using multiple vendor tools for calculating power usage. A 5950X, 3 Hard Drives (2 NVME), and a 3090 only amounted to about 580 Watts. At 90% rated, you could probably do fine with this. ...

Power supplies aren't like processors. They don't get significantly better with every generation.

This is actually a steal seeing as PSU prices have been insane for the past year.

IMO 7-10 year warranty is marketing to sell more. Probably offering 10 warranty to get people to buy it. Warranty any longer than 5 years is almost pointless in the computer world. By that time most...

Being "Seasonic" doesn't make it better.. In fact a lot of Seasonic units are relatively lackluster in terms of specific performance metrics. You cant really judge a PSU based on brand these days....

GS series were Seasonic-based, so likely better than the GT. Superflower vs Seasonic is a matter of preference

Agreed. G3(super flower) is so far the best design that EVGA has for below 1000W. I have heard that EVGA might not produce G3 any more.

How is the gt better than the ga if both offer the same spec if they are watt by watt and the ga has 10 year warranty compare to gt 7 years?

550W draw from the wall when I'm running 3D mark with my TUF 3090. Anyone who says 650W isn't enough for 3090 or 6900 XT have never measured their rig. You'll most likely be at mid 80% efficiency...
