That's questionable. The 3070 is probably enough to handle 99% of games today at 1440p, but if cyberpunk (patched) is any indication, you're going to want 3080 level performance for future games.

This is true for most msi boards. My x370 has it, and it just wasn't enabled by default.

Entirely depends what you do with it. For most productivity and multi tasking applications the 3700x is still a better choice. This is a good deal for those purposes.

Yes I was there the other day.. Not sure which microcenter you are going to but there were no 3070s by me. Westbury NY. All they had was Radeon 6700 and 6900s which is overkill for what I need.

B550 motherboard only gets one BOIS upgrade last I looked. Better be very sure it has TPM 2.0 or it will not upgrade to Windows 11
